🛩 A Classic Twin Reborn in Absolute Black & Locator Blue

When Chad brought us their 1973 Cessna 414—an aircraft he and his wife regularly fly out of Wisconsin—he asked for something bold, modern, and completely unique. Years of loyal service had left the paint faded, chipped, and sun-tired, making this the perfect opportunity for a full transformation.

We stripped the aircraft down to the airframe and rebuilt the finish using a complete PPG system:
• Desoprime green primer
• White base coat
• Solar-reflective Absolute Black topcoat
• Finished with Desothane clear

This system isn’t just visually stunning—it also keeps the surface up to 30% cooler under direct sun, reducing heat load and improving comfort on the ground.

To complete the look, Chad chose a striking accent color: Locator Blue, a vibrant and modern contrast that gives the 414 a fresh, commanding presence.

This project also underscores our expanded paint shop’s capability to accommodate cabin-class twin-engine aircraft with the same precision and craftsmanship Elite Air Service is known for.

If you’re considering a repaint or a full style overhaul, our paint specialists are ready to bring your vision to life.
