N437E 1966 Beech V35 Bonanza
Some airplanes don’t just get repainted—they get re-imagined.
Sean Mackey brought his 1966 Beech V35 Bonanza to us all the way from Traverse City with a clear vision: a one-of-a-kind custom paint scheme inspired by his Porsche. Clean. Intentional. Timeless—with just enough edge to turn heads on the ramp.
The Vision
This project began with a complete strip and repaint, giving us a blank canvas to execute a truly cohesive design. Sean wanted the aircraft to echo the look and feel of his Porsche—not just on the outside, but in the details that make the connection unmistakable.
The Paint Scheme

Base Coat: High-gloss Black for depth, contrast, and a classic foundation
-
Secondary: Chalk Gray to match the Porsche’s exterior tone
-
Accent: Striking Light Blue striping inspired by the car’s trim and seatbelts

The result is subtle, elegant, and incredibly sharp. The light blue accent provides just the right amount of pop, while the Chalk Gray softens the contrast and adds a modern, premium feel to this classic airframe.
The Result
This V35 Bonanza is a perfect example of how thoughtful color selection and precise execution can elevate an already iconic aircraft into something truly special. From the mirror-like gloss black to the crisp transitions and flawless striping, every detail was executed with intention.
And judging by the reactions leading up to today’s reveal—it’s already doing exactly what it was designed to do: stand out without shouting.
If you’re considering a full strip and repaint or dreaming up a custom scheme that reflects your personal style, projects like this show what’s possible when vision and craftsmanship meet.
